What are the School Hours and when is the first day?
Monday – Thursday 8:45 am -4:15 pm AND Fridays 8:45 am -1:00 pm. Please do not pick up early unless a student has an appointment. AHS follows the RCSD calendar, including first day.

Yes, free busing is provided by RCSD to all students who live at least 1.5 miles away from the school. PLEASE NOTE: RCSD routes all students on the bus, not AHS.

Yes, we welcome students with special needs and provide services according to the student’s IEP or 504 plan.

Shirts: Students must wear an AHS shirt. Families may also purchase iron-on patches and apply to their own white, black, gray, yellow or teal shirts, or sweaters, NO HOODIES ALLOWED.. Families can click here to view our dress code policy.Pants: Black, khaki, gray, or navy pants. No jeans, shorts, leggings, sweat-pants, or skirts. Pants must be clean and not ripped.Shoes: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes or sneakers. No slides

AHS Enrollment Policy
Academy of Health Sciences Charter School shall not discriminate against or limit the admission of any student on any unlawful basis, including on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, intellectual ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, athletic ability, race, creed, religion or ancestry. Academy of Health Sciences Charter School shall not require any action by a student or family (such as an admissions test, interview, essay, attendance at an information session, etc.) in order for an applicant to either receive or submit an application for admission to that school.
